Thefts on the rise in Mysore

Bengaluru: Laptop thefts are increasing in the IT market. In the last
six months, two laptop thefts have happened in Mysore in a gap of two months. A
theft took place at Kalidas Street, Mysore-based Terminal One where a group of
burglars fled with four laptops, Rs 45,000 in cash and accessories like iPods.

BN Srikanth, Partner, Terminal One first noticed the incident when he came
and open the shutter of the shop next morning and found the laptops and other
accessories where missing.

"This incident had happened on June 21. When I came to the shop I found that
the locks of the shutters were tampered and they had opened the box and taken
laptops but the entire carton boxes were lying there on the ground. About Rs
45,000 was missing with the four laptops and some iPods," said Srikanth.

He immediately filed a complaint in the nearby police station. Speaking more
about this, Srikanth said, "The police were not been able to trace the culprit
and we didn't find our laptops."

After two months a similar incident happened in Shidarth Office Automation.
But they refused to divulge any details.
