Comexcell Technologies saw a growth of
30% in FY11 as compared to the previous year. Though the figures might
not convey the right
message, Comexcell's growth story is even more commendable
considering this sub-disti hails from a small town (Kanpur), and
still has managed to grab a top slot in the elite list of
distributors in the country. Apparently, the company caters to 60% of
the hardware market in Kanpur. It should act as both a source of
inspiration as well as a benchmark for all distributor from upcountry
markets who aspire to grow big.

With operations in UP and Uttarakhand,
Comexcell has branches in Lucknow, Allahabad, and Dehradun. While it
is the master of all in UP, atleast 20% of its revenues still came
from Uttarakhand in FY11. This happened in the face of stiff
competition from the local resident partners of Uttarakhand. In its
success story, Dell contributed 60% to the company's overall
revenue in the last fiscal. And in customer segments, 65% of the
revenue was generated from resellers/dealers. Registering consistency
throughout the year, Comexcell had a considerable turnout of Rs65
crore in the OND quarter and Rs55 crore in
the JFM quarter. Besides, it added approximately 60 dealers over the
last year.

While this remarkable growth has been
the cornerstone of its existence, the company has never lost the
warmth and personal touch in the relationships that it nurtured in
its 13 years of existence. And that's why today, Comexcell is a
name to reckon with and has more than 600 loyal resellers spread out
in UP, including in D and E category markets. It is planning to touch
Rs250 crore mark and aspires to open 15-20 exclusive showrooms in the
entire state of UP along with a branch in western UP. The company is
also looking at increasing its employee strength from 57 to 67 by the
end of FY12.
