Around six years ago, Shweta ventured
into distribution and today it makes about 50% of its revenues from
this. Secunderabad based Shweta Computers and Peripherals, has grown
by 30% in the last financial year. Last fiscal, this business got a
filip with the addition of Samsung and Apple range of notebooks. Acer
and HP were also added to the portfolio during the last financial
year. There were no challenges for the organization in the previous
year. They also did not drop any brand. Around 40% of the
distribution revenue came collectively from Intel, Seagate and Acer.
By the end of FY11, Shweta was the pan-Andhra authorized
sub-distributor for Asus, AMD, LG, Sony, Toshiba, Gigabyte, Biostar
and Cooler Master.

On the retail front, Shweta garnered
around 10% of its revenues from the newly opened stores at Warangal,
Hyderabad and Vizag. The major target for this retailer is the
household and student segment. Hundred percent quality assurance
services, customer satisfaction and no escalations, working within
the committed turnaround time were the success mantras. Shweta was
swearing on in FY11. The disturbed scenario in Hyderabad owing to the
Telengana agitation is impacting its business though. Even though it
wants to grow by 30-35%, they are working hard to grow at least
between 10 to 20% amidst the 'disturbed' political scenario.
Having established itself throughout Andhra, if Telengana happens
could spell new business realignment for Shweta.
