SILVER CLUB RANK (2010-11): 7
Maintaining the growth at par with
industry standards, in FY11, Supertron managed to sustain a
remarkable bottomline after a slow start and crossed Rs 1,000 crore
mark. While Dell servers and e-machines contributed the largest chunk
of revenue, IBM, Seagate, and LG also contributed significantly to
its overall bottomline. These products, combined together accounted
for over 41% of its gross revenue. Supertron played its cards well in
distribution and spread across the country originating from the
eastern markets. However, Supertron is now focussing over its Delhi
branch to come of age and handle major deals although the company
headquarters will continue to be in Kolkata. Besides the entry of
Supertron in the printer segment, the company has also opted to enter
the mobile segment with its own brand 'iSuper'. The move follows
from the company's already presence in the mobile handset market
whereby Supertron is leveraging from the existing handset partner
base. While 90% of its annual business came in from its major
dealings with the IT vendors, its own brand revenue from Solitaire
and Supercomp comprised of nearly Rs 331 crore in the FY11-a
significant number considering the state of imports and brands in the
national market. Supertron redefined its national support structure
making it a new revenue vertical for the company. Under the revised
process the company decentralized the existing service centers by
making 3 regional service centers in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad
apart from its Master Service Center (MSC) which is placed at its
head-quarter in Kolkata.
