SILVER CLUB RANK (2010-11): 16
Posting one of the highest growth rates
in the eastern market, Technocrat Infotech has emerged as one of the
rising giants with principals like Epson, Gigabyte, GData, HP, HCL
and A-Data as its major topline earners. Harnessing on the
'exclusive' factor in terms of national distribution, G-Data,
A-Data and Gigabyte contributed to atleast Rs 67.2 crore of its
turnover while HP, Samsung, Epson, Xerox and HCL accounted for
another Rs 89.6 crore. While the primary slot vendors accounted for
the major chunk from where revenue came in for Technocrat, regional
tie-up with MMD India, the brand license holder for Philips
monitors, proved beneficial accounting for atleast Rs 24 crore of the
topline pie. Last year, although the company majorly focused over
these principals, second slot players like Kobian, Intel, Lenovo and
Seagate accounted for an estimated Rs 58.24 crore. Last FY, the
Technocrat came up with 2 additional branches in Jaipur and Raipur
followed by the inauguration of the Mumbai division this CY.
Everything looks well on course of
Technocrat to achieve its ambition to be one of the top10 NDs in the
country by 2012. What still remains a possible bump for Technocrat in
this growth path, is its lack of pan-India reach in terms of both
geography as well as channel partners. Though it expanded its channel
network across India through 1,800 dealer outlets, atleast 80% of its
revenue still came from the East. Also, it needs to be emphasized
that 80% of its annual revenue came in from distribution alone while
retail accounted for the rest.
