In the last fiscal,
Pune based Softcell Technologies turned a corner after it saw a
decline in revenues the year before (FY10). One of the major reasons
for this was closing its business activities with Microsoft, which
was one of the major vendors for Softcell. Despite a major drop
thereby from its topline vendor, Softcell aligned with newer vendors
so that it is now all geared to expand its footprint in the market.
The realization was that it would be wiser to spread across multiple
vendors rather than banking on one.

In the last
quarter, Softcell signed a distribution deal with Apple. The company
also had partnerships with IBM, PTC, Adobe, Symantec, Autodesk,
McAfee, and many more. On the services front, it has enhanced its
offering of credit bureau connectivity applications, using which
customers will be able to submit a query simultaneously to all 3
credit bureaus that are operational as of now. The company also
majorly increased its focus on the engineering services business.
Softcell also sees a good growth potential in the adoption of devices
by enterprises in India. Softcell serves various industry verticals
that include IT, banking, insurance, automotive, BPO, etc. With
server deployments at networking sites, the company majorly focused
on remote infrastructure management as its core offering. The company
provides innovative and advanced solutions, which is a business
process management platform, and the solutions can be deployed at a
large cross-section of industries. Some of its other major clients
included HDFC Bank, Hyundai, Servion, LG, and many more. The majority
of Softcell's revenue came from South and West contributing at 40%
each, followed by the eastern and northern regions at 20%. Grown over
by 30% over the last fiscal, Softcell Technologies once again
significantly grew in size registering a revenue growth of Rs144
crore for FY11.
