Transcend releases wireless JetFlash

Transcend Information Inc has released its wireless JetFlash, a palm-sized
device that is more than just a USB Flash Drive. It combines a USB Flash Drive
with an IEEE 802.11b WLAN function.

With this function, users can surf the Internet freely from a wireless
network. Simultaneously, they can transfer large amounts of data between their
computer and the JetFlash.

Transcend’s wireless JetFlash is compliant with the IEEE 802.11b standard
for 2.4GHz WLAN. With or without an access point, it provides wireless
connections up to 11 Mbit/sec.

Two integrated internal antennas and the direct sequence spread spectrum
technology provides a stable wireless connection. Enabling the 64-bit or 128-bit
WEP encryption will ensure the security of user data.
