New Update

Tyco Electronics is looking forward to adding channel partners. "The
Indian market is developing rapidly and we want to be there when the right
moment comes. Though at present, we just have one big channel partner. But
moving forward, we would strengthen our sales efforts by way of adopting a
channel strategy as well as direct sales efforts in India," informed, David
R Coughlan, President, M/A-COM Inc.

Tyco's decision to adopt a channel strategy is driven by the fact that the
company has more than 100 customers in the Indian region. The recent spurt in
the telecom segment has made sure that the demand for its products is on the
higher side.

"India is a big country, so ideally we would like to have channel
partners in all the major regions. However, we are not looking at numbers, so we
would be looking for only those partners which are technology driven in their
domain," explained, Kuldeep Tikoo, Country Manager (India Region), Tyco
Electronics Corporation India.
