V Ramamurthy takes on as 'President and COO' at HCL

New Delhi: HCL Infosystems announced the appointment of JV Ramamurthy as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Prior to this, he was the COO of HCL Infosystems, a role he took on in 2005.

He has spearheaded company's growth strategy and has been instrumental in HCL's transformation into system integration organization of the country.

Commenting on the development, Ajai Chowdhry, Chairman and CEO, HCL Infosystems said, "Over the last two decades, JVR has contributed immensely in building HCL through various stages of transformation in a constantly changing business environment. An engineer from Guindy Engineering College, Ramamurthy has done his Master's from Madras Institute of Technology. He joined HCL as the Regional Customer Engineering Support Manager in 1988, and went on to head the company's support services. He played a pivotal role as the President and CEO of HCL Office Automation, and subsequently took over additional responsibility as President and CEO, HCL Infinet.
