Vendors to sponsor JCDA monthly meets

Jalandhar Computer Dealers' Association (JCDA) has come up with a novel way to keep its members informed about the latest in the IT world as well as get sponsorship for its monthly meets.

The association recently started an initiative, whereby it is inviting vendors to come and address the channel partners in its region. For the vendor, it acts as a ready platform to address partners. As per the agreement, the vendor can either organize the entire event and send an invite to JCDA, or they can pay JCDA about half the amount to have the meet organized on their behalf. The association recently held its monthly meeting, which was sponsored by Western Digital.

Rajiv Khanna, Spokesperson, JCDA revealed, “JCDA has become very regular in its monthly meets where we discuss agendas and regional issues. We decided that in either cases, this agreement with a vendor would benefit us, since we would anyway be holding our meeting. Also, it offers the vendor a platform to address the channel and showcase their latest products.”

On January 24, 2010 JCDA will organize a family meet to herald the new year. Like every year, this time around too the event will be sponsored by vendors like. HP, Intel, WeP, Canon, Quick Heal, Microtek and Prodot were the sponsors last year and the group went to Wonderland Amusement Park in Jalandhar. This year, they are exploring other options as well.
