Vidur to open Dell exclusive showroom

New Delhi : Dell's exclusive
showroom will come up in Delhi and Coimbatore by middle of October. While one of
the showrooms will be opened in association with Nehru Place-based Vidur &
Co, another will be launched in association with the company's Coimbatore-based
partner.

Refusing to disclose any
further information, Mahesh Bhalla, Director-Consumer Business, Dell India
mentioned, "At the moment the company is working on the concept and will
reveal the details once it is chalked out."

This is the first time
that Dell is planning to launch an exclusive showroom in association with its
channel partners. Till recently Dell had been appointing channel partners that
constituted of Master Affiliate Partners and other dealer partners in order to
push its products. However, the company is now looking at revamping its retail
strategy by engaging with its channel partners and setting up an exclusive
outlet for a range of its products. 

While throwing some
insight, Keshav Madhav, CEO, Vidur & Co stated, "We have been dealing
in Dell products since February and selling the same from one of our multi-brand
showrooms at Nehru Place. However, Dell appro-ached us with this concept and by
the middle of October we will inaugurate a Dell exclusive showroom at Nehru
Place itself."

He further added that
the retail outlet will accelerate business for Vidur & Co and the company
will put all the consumer range of Dell laptops and PCs on display within the
same.
