Vintech beats Dell, IBM to bag Rs 2 crore project

Pune-based Vintech Electronics Systems has bagged a deal from Pune District
Central Co-operative Bank. The project amounting to Rs 2 crore will see the
company install its products and solutions across 240 locations in India.

Talking about the same, Sushil Kulkarni, Director, Vintech Electronics
Systems stated, "We managed to clinch this order after a tough competition with
players such as Dell and IBM. The ordered hardware will be installed across 240
locations of the bank, which are spread across 14 talukas of Pune District. This
order includes 700 HP desktops, laptops, servers, Olivetti passbook printers,
Epson printers, etc that will be deployed at various locations."

Vintech has resolved to set-up a team of more than 10 engineers for the
project. While few engineers will monitor the project at the client's location,
others will remotely handle the project from Vintech's office in Pune.

"The client wants their system up and running, and cannot afford downtime
given the nature of their transactions. The implementation process is already
underway and we are nearing completion. We has served the Co-operative Bank a
decade ago and have maintained good relations with the client. It was not easy
to convince them since at a time there were

20-25 decision makers within the bank who had to be convinced.
