Vitage Systems : Over To Servicing

Vitage Systems might not have registered a blazing growth rate in 2007-08
registering just four percent growth over the previous fiscal to post revenues
of Rs 125 crore. But this was also partially due to the fact that the company
panned its diversification into newer markets and launching new services and
products.

The topline growth notwithstanding the company's bottomline profits grew by
20 percent. The drop in topline was largely due to the company's shift of focus
towards offering business solutions over box movement.

Not only was Vitage busy in implementing projects under­taken the previous
fiscal but it also bagged newer contracts, notable amongst which were for Kenexa,
Aizant Drugs, Soma Enterprises, Himalaya Drugs, Safal National Exchange, MCML,
ABB, Deeyar Bank, etc.

The organization also moved to its new corporate office in Koramangala in
Bengaluru besides establishing its global operations by opening offices in the
United Arab Emirates and South Africa. In vendor partnerships, Vitage added
Sage, Ramco and Apple to its portfolio. It bagged awards for 'Fast track 100
Award' and 'EMC Information Infras­tructure Award'. Last fiscal, Vitage Systems
expanded its headcount to hire close to 45 new employees taking its manpower
count to 445.
