VMware gets Shrimathi Ambastha as the new Director of Technology

Mumbai: Shrimathi Ambastha has been selected as the new Director of Technology at Vmware India.

Ambastha brings more than nearly two decades of IT industry experience in support and pre-sales in India and APAC to her new role at VMware India. Ambastha has joined VMware from Oracle Asia Pacific where she was Director-Technology and Business Intelligence and Warehouse solutions, leading a team of architects supporting large and strategic sales engagements in India and APAC. Ambastha also spent four years at Wipro where she was involved in Development and Support for Oracle on Sun platforms.

She is based in Mumbai and reports to T Srinivasan, MD, VMware India & SAARC.

T Srinivasan said, "We are delighted to have Ambastha on VMware India's executive team as we ramp up our operations in India, which is an important growth market for VMware globally. We look forward to benefit from her experience as VMware expands to its full potential in the Indian market place."
