VMware partners with HCL Infosystems

VMware announced a partnership with HCL Infosystems. The tie-up will deliver
on-demand cloud services to Indian customers with the recently launched HCL
O'zone on the industry-leading VMware's vSphere 4 platform. HCL Infosystems will
collaborate with VMware under the VMware Service Provider Program (VSPP), which
is designed to provide on-demand cloud services. The company will be using
VMware software licenses on a monthly 'pay-as-you-go' basis. HCL Infosystems had
recently announced an end-to-end cloud-based computing solution service called
HCL O'zone for its customers, which in collaboration with VMware will deliver
benefits to both enterprise and mid-size organizations in India through benefits
like reduced investments, increased data security, increased operational and
performance efficiency, green computing, increased power savings and disaster
recovery.
