WD intros 1TB mobile hard drive

Western Digital (WD) announced two new mobile hard drives with one terabyte
capacity-the industry's highest capacity. The Scorpio Blue SATA 2.5-inch hard
drives offer mobile storage device and notebook users 1 TB capacity. A 750GB
model also will be available.

The WD Scorpio Blue 750GB and 1TB hard drives have a 12.5 mm form factor and
are suited for use in portable storage solutions. Other applications include
select notebooks and small form factor desktop PCs. Both WD Scorpio Blue drives
deliver a transfer rate of 3Gbps.
