Shah thinks that nowadays customers look forward to products which are able
to meet the precise needs of the organization with the existing infrastructure
Tell us something about the product launch happening in Matrix?
We are launching the new product range typically for the VoIP part of it.
There are several products under the VoIP umbrella which we have launched
differently like the SETU VFXTH multi-port VoIP FXO-FXS gateway, VoIP gateways
built for speed, traffic and flexibility. We have 14 launch programs as telecom
VoIP part for the products. Simultaneously, we are also launching security
products like access control and time attendance. We are at the halfway mark
right now and the responses which we have received from the existing partners,
prospective partners and customers are really encouraging and motivating.
Would you explain in brief about the products?
SETU VFXTH is a multi-channel SIP-based gateway which offers seamless
connectivity between VoIP and POTS networks through FXO and FXS ports. It offers
universal and transparent call routing irrespective to the type of ports VoIP
FXO, VoIP FXS, and FXO and FXS. The innovative quality is the superior call and
signal processing capabilities, which ensure the unrestricted flow of multiple
calls with higher speed and better speech quality.
On the VoIP side it supports SIP-based IP interface which allows it to
connect it to any existing IP network. On the POTS side it supports FXO and FXS
interfaces. It can register with multiple SIP servers and IP PBXs. SETU VFXTH
can register with the existing IP PBX for internal calls and at the same time
can also register with the ITSP SIP servers for international calls. Likewise
FXO FXS ports can also be used to interface with existing PBX while the other
FXO ports can be interfaced with the PSTN for public calls.

How many cities has Matrix covered till date?
We have covered almost 8 to 10 cities for telecom and security products. The
cities targeted for the security products are Ahmedabad, Surat, Pune, Mumbai,
Chandigarh, Delhi, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Kolkata. Also for
telecom we will be concentrating on Ahmedabad, Pune, Mumbai, Chandhigarh, Delhi,
Jaipur Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore and Cochin.
Can you explain in detail the channel mode for Matrix?
We consider the channel as the backbone of our business and also basically
Matrix is a 100 percent channel-centric company. Thus, whatever we sell, we make
sure of selling it to our active channel partners and we do not change our
business model for new products. Typically, we have three layers starting from
the distributors or dealers. We also concentrate on the reseller and the end
customer, so it could be the distributor and dealer to customer or it could be
through reseller also.
Will matrix add more channel partners to their existing list?
I would say that Marix is on an expansion mode not only in terms of products
and solutions but also coverage. We would definitely like to be seen and present
everywhere. As far as our presence is concerned, today we are present in Leh and
Ladakh in terms of our products' availability and also down in the East, South
and West. We are present everywhere but still we would like to strengthen our
position in every corner of the country or even outside India. The main feature
that Matrix would be working upon in the market is the launch of our new range
of products and I do not think that there is any better platform than going to
each city and sharing the information about our products.
