Western Digital unveils 'All New My Book' storage appliances

Mumbai: Western Digital, hard drive manufacturer, introduced its smaller,
sleeker 'My Book' external storage solutions: My Book Home Edition, My Book
Office Edition, My Book Essential Edition and My Book Studio Edition. Ranging
from 320 GB to 1 TB, the new My Book models were designed with specific users in
mind.

Home users can appreciate the automatic and continuous backup of their data
on the My Book Home Edition. Office users will rely on the remote access and
sharing capabilities of the My Book Office Edition. My Book Essential Edition
meets the needs of users who seek simple, instant storage, while the My Book
Studio Edition is designed for creative users and formatted for Mac computers.

Commenting on the launch, Sharad Srivastava, Director Sales (India &

My Book Home Edition takes up no more space than a paperback book and with
automatic, continuous backup users can set up the drive to automatically store
and backup all of their precious memories.

My Book Office Edition is suited for protecting business assets. Users can
set it and forget it; every time a file is changed on the My Book Office
Edition, it is automatically backed up.

My Book Essential Edition helps to add more storage capacity to home or
office computers. The drives are equipped with a USB 2.0 interface that offers
convenience and compatibility among multiple computers; SmartPower features that
power the drive on and off with the computer.

My Book Studio Edition external hard drives are equipped with automatic and
continuous backup software that allow users to back up important projects to
multiple destinations including file serves, portable drives and My Book storage
appliances.

My Book Home Edition, My Book Office Edition, My Book Essential Edition and
My Book Studio Edition appliances with capacities ranging from 320 GB to 1 TB
are is available through WD distributors (Champion Computers, Inspan infotech
& Venktron Digital system Pvt Ltd) in India. Estimated pricing for the My
Book product family ranges from INR 6,000 to 34,000 depending on model and
capacity.
