Yavatmal: The Yavatmal channel partners are happy over the response they
received for their annual three-day exhibition on December 14. Amit Agrawal,
President, IT Dealers Association Yavatmal (ITDAY) said, "This was our third
exhibition and we registered a footfall of 18,000. The response to the
exhibition was very good and we think next year more people will turn up for the
exhibition."
The reason the expo was successful was because it gave customers in this
small town get an opportunity to see a plethora of IT products under one roof.
"We have got accolades from customers who said that they find out about
various technologies and products through exhibitions. Therefore they need not
go to faraway places or metros to buy these products as they are already
available with a dealer in Yavatmal," Agrawal added.
Also, customers can avail of a lot of spot discounts and bargain pricing at
these events. Since this IT expo has become an annual feature, there are home
and SOHO customers who actually delay their purchase decision to coincide with
the event.
Sachin Shriwas of Softcell Systems, who had booked four stalls at the expo
said, "We displayed all the major brands that we had in the exhibition and
sold 80 laptops during the exhibition in just three days. This was a major
highlight for our business. Apart from selling laptops we also sold pen-drives,
headphones, MP3 players and speakers."
Supporting Shriwas' point, Agrawal further added that the people from
nearby locations participated in the exhibition. Vendors too extended their
support to this event either by participating directly or through their dealers.
These vendors were Intel, Epson, Acer, Lenovo, Logitech, Canon, HP and Compaq.
