Indian PC-maker Zenith Computers Limited plans to increase its strength of
channel partners and the company-owned retail outlets -- Zenith PC Worlds -- by
40 percent.
"We have positioned ourselves on quality, pricing and price over the
years. At present we have about 500 Zenith PC Worlds, which is the company owned
retail outlet apart from 900 dealers across the country. We will now increase
our channel partner strength and PC Worlds by another 40 percent," Devita
Saraf, executive director of Zenith Computers told CyberMedia News.
Saraf said that the PC market was growing exponentially in India. "The
markets are really growing and so are our businesses also. We rely on our
channels in terms of the number of people in the field. The channel partners and
the Zenith PC World contribute almost half of our revenues, while the other half
is from the corporate sales," she informed.
"We will also be concentrating on launching more laptops for the small
and medium enterprises segment. We do not believe in the concept of 'one size
fits all.' Zenith computers will be aiming at doing what is more relevant to the
customer and hence the focus on SMEs," Saraf added.
