PPDS Philips Signage 7000 Series UltraSlim Launch Opens New Display Possibilities

The PPDS Philips Signage 7000 Series UltraSlim launch at InfoComm 2026 highlights a growing shift in the digital signage market. While display performance remains important, installation flexibility, remote management, and design aesthetics are becoming equally critical factors for businesses deploying screens across retail, hospitality, corporate, and public environments.

The new 4K UHD signage range is positioned as the thinnest and lightest digital signage line in PPDS’ portfolio, reflecting customer and partner feedback gathered from global markets.

A stronger focus on installation flexibility

One of the key themes behind the launch is adaptability. Available in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch sizes, the displays are designed for both landscape and portrait installations.

The 65-inch model features a depth of just 30mm, while the other models measure 28.5mm. PPDS says this makes the series significantly slimmer than its Philips Signage 4050Q counterpart. Weight reductions across the range further expand deployment possibilities, particularly in locations where mounting limitations can affect project planning.

For channel partners and system integrators, this creates opportunities to address a wider variety of customer environments without compromising visual impact.

Combining a slim design with intelligent capabilities

The new series is not only focused on appearance. Running on an Android 16 SoC with a TOPS 3.0 Neural Processing Unit, the displays are built to support AI-ready applications while allowing customers to install preferred Android-based software directly on the device.

Another important element is compatibility with the Philips Wave remote display management platform. Through Philips Wave, users can manage installations, monitor device status, update firmware, control playlists, and schedule power settings remotely.

The displays also feature PPDS’s FailOver technology, ensuring backup content continues to play if a primary media source fails.

Meeting evolving customer expectations

The launch reflects a broader trend in professional display deployments where reliability, remote control, sustainability, and ease of installation increasingly influence purchasing decisions.

With recycled materials in the housing, reduced internal plastic use, and broad connectivity options including HDMI, USB-C, LAN, WiFi, Bluetooth, and RS232, the series aims to support both operational and environmental goals.
