As India's fintech sector moves from rapid expansion to sustainable growth, leadership structure is becoming just as important as product innovation. In that context, CheQ elevates Bipin Toro and Vished Banger as co-founders, a move that reflects the company's focus on long-term ownership, operational maturity, and future scale. The announcement comes as CheQ closes FY26 with full-year profitability and crosses $40 million in annual recurring revenue, marking an important milestone in its growth journey.
A Leadership Move Backed by Business Momentum
The decision arrives at a time when CheQ is entering a new phase of growth. Since its launch in 2022, the company has evolved from a credit card bill payment platform into a broader credit ecosystem. According to the company, the elevation recognises the role both executives have played in building the business from its early stages and contributing to key milestones across technology, operations, business strategy, and organisational development.
The move also highlights a broader trend among growth-stage companies, where leadership recognition is increasingly tied to long-term contribution and accountability. CheQ’s management believes enduring businesses are built by leaders who consistently demonstrate ownership and a founder’s mindset, making the latest appointments a reflection of responsibilities already being carried within the organisation.
Technology and Business Strategy Take Centre Stage
As part of the CheQ executive leadership updates, Bipin Toro has been elevated to Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer. He has led the company’s engineering efforts, helping build the technology infrastructure and product foundation that support millions of users. His work has focused on creating a scalable platform capable of supporting innovation, new products, and evolving customer experiences while maintaining reliability and performance.
Vished Banger has been named Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer. His contribution has centred on business strategy, financial management, operational excellence, and organisational growth. The company credits his leadership with helping establish the frameworks needed to scale responsibly while maintaining focus on sustainable growth and strategic partnerships. Together, the appointments strengthen the roles of the CheQ CTO and CBO as the company prepares for its next chapter.
Building on a Broader Credit Ecosystem
CheQ’s evolution over the last few years provides context for the announcement. What began as a platform focused on credit card payments and rewards has expanded into a wider ecosystem that includes credit health insights, premium rewards, utility bill payments, AI-powered credit assistance through Wisor, personal loans, loans against mutual funds, UPI payments, and the CheQ AU Credit Card.
The company believes this broader portfolio creates new opportunities for innovation while also increasing the importance of strong leadership across technology and business functions. With Fintech profitability FY26 now achieved, the focus appears to be shifting toward scaling products, strengthening partnerships, and expanding consumer offerings in a disciplined manner.
