Cisco’s latest announcement at Cisco Live signals a move towards that future with Cisco Cloud Control AgenticOps, a platform designed to bring networking, security, observability, collaboration and compute operations into a single environment.

One platform, one view, one operating model

Cisco Cloud Control combines operational data across multiple domains into a unified platform. Instead of managing separate tools, teams can access a common operational environment where both human operators and AI agents work from the same data and context.

At the centre of this approach is agentic AI network automation. Cisco says its autonomous agents can identify issues, determine causes, test fixes and validate outcomes while keeping actions visible and controlled. The platform also incorporates Cisco’s Deep Network Model, built on decades of operational networking data.

Another notable addition is AI Canvas collaborative troubleshooting, a shared workspace where teams and AI agents can investigate and resolve issues together. By preserving context across teams and shifts, Cisco is attempting to reduce repeated effort during incident response.

Security moves closer to the infrastructure

A recurring theme throughout the announcement is speed. Cisco argues that traditional reactive security models are struggling as the gap between vulnerability discovery and exploitation continues to shrink.
