New Relic has strengthened its executive leadership with the appointment of Hein Hellemons as New Relic Chief Revenue Officer, a move that reflects the company's focus on expanding its global observability business as enterprises accelerate AI adoption. The appointment comes as observability platforms become increasingly important for organisations managing complex software environments and AI-powered applications.
With more than 25 years of experience leading global go-to-market organisations, Hellemons will oversee worldwide revenue strategy, commercial operations, global sales, and partner channels to support the company's next stage of growth.
Leadership Experience Aligned with Enterprise Expansion
Before joining New Relic, Hellemons served as Chief Revenue Officer at Darktrace, where he led revenue operations for the AI-powered cybersecurity company. Earlier leadership roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, and VMware gave him experience in scaling enterprise sales organisations while helping customers accelerate digital transformation initiatives.
His appointment reflects New Relic's emphasis on building stronger global sales capabilities as enterprise demand for AI-strengthened observability continues to grow.
AI Is Shaping the Company's Growth Strategy
According to CEO Ashan Willy, AI is changing how software is developed and managed, making intelligent observability a core business requirement rather than an optional capability. The company believes this shift creates a significant opportunity to expand its platform, deepen customer relationships, and strengthen long-term growth.
Reporting directly to the CEO, Hellemons will focus on building high-performing teams, improving operational execution, and supporting customer success as New Relic expands its enterprise footprint.
A Leadership Move Focused on Long-Term Growth
Hellemons said he was attracted by New Relic's platform, market opportunity, leadership team, and position in helping organisations succeed in the AI era. His immediate priority will be supporting the company's global revenue strategy while working closely with the executive leadership team.
