Keysight APS-ONE-400 Tackles AI Network Testing Challenges

As AI workloads continue to increase network traffic and security demands, validating infrastructure before deployment has become more challenging. The launch of the Keysight APS-ONE-400 reflects how testing platforms are evolving to help enterprises, service providers, and network equipment manufacturers handle increasingly complex network environments without expanding lab infrastructure.

The new modular platform combines high-performance Layer 4-7 traffic generation, cybersecurity validation, and encrypted traffic testing into a compact 1RU appliance, helping organisations simplify testing while preparing for AI-driven workloads.

AI Traffic Is Changing Network Testing

Modern networks must now process not only traditional traffic but also post-quantum cryptography (PQC)-encrypted connections, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and large "Elephant Flow" data transfers associated with AI and large language model workloads.

Traditionally, validating these environments required several specialised testing tools, increasing infrastructure costs and consuming valuable rack space. The Keysight APS-ONE-400 addresses this by bringing multiple testing capabilities into a single modular platform.

Designed for High-Speed, Scalable Validation

The platform delivers 400 Gbps Layer 4-7 throughput, 380 Gbps hardware-accelerated TLS throughput, and 95 Gbps Elephant Flow throughput while maintaining a compact footprint.

It also supports deployment as a standalone appliance or integration with existing Keysight APS-100/400GE solutions. Fanout support for 100GE, 25GE, and 10GE provides flexibility across different network environments, allowing organisations to scale testing as infrastructure requirements grow.

Supporting Hyperscale Infrastructure

When combined with the APS-M8400 appliance or APS-M1010 management controller, the platform can emulate hyperscale environments with up to 16 Tbps of Layer 4-7 traffic, 20 billion concurrent connections, 15 Tbps of TLS traffic, and 25 million TLS connections per second.

This enables realistic testing for data centres and service providers dealing with AI-driven applications and increasingly demanding security requirements.
