TCS and ABB Sign Multi-Million Deal to Modernize Global Networks

A reliable network has become the backbone of every digital business. TCS and ABB sign multi-million deal to strengthen that foundation, expanding a partnership that has lasted for two decades. The new agreement shifts the relationship beyond infrastructure management toward AI-driven global network operations designed for scale, security, and long-term resilience.

The announcement reflects how enterprises are moving from managing networks to building intelligent digital platforms that can adapt as business needs change.

AI Takes a Bigger Role in Network Operations

At the heart of the agreement is ABB's Future Network Model programme, which aims to replace fragmented network environments with a standardized and centrally managed digital infrastructure. Under the engagement, TCS will deliver an AI-driven global network operations model through an integrated Network-as-a-Service model.

The company will design, integrate, and operate ABB's worldwide network while coordinating multiple technology vendors under a unified framework. The goal is to improve operational efficiency, strengthen security and compliance, enhance user experience, and support future digital growth.

A Standardized Network for Global Scale

The transformation includes service integration and management (SIAM), a global network operations center, advanced security capabilities, and modernized LAN, WAN, and software-defined WAN infrastructure.

TCS will also provide end-to-end monitoring and orchestration to improve connectivity and ensure network services operate consistently across ABB's global business.

Rather than treating networking as isolated infrastructure, the programme brings different technologies together under one centralized operating model.

Building on Two Decades of Collaboration

The latest agreement builds on a 20-year relationship between the two companies. Previous initiatives included consolidating multiple ERP systems into a unified SAP platform and supporting ABB's cloud transformation journey.

The expanded partnership shows how long-term technology collaborations are evolving from individual IT projects into enterprise-wide transformation programmes that combine AI, automation, and secure digital infrastructure.
