IBM and Yotta partnership builds India’s sovereign AI Stack

The IBM and Yotta partnership is bringing agentic AI into a more controlled enterprise environment with the general availability of a Sovereign Agentic AI Platform for Indian organisations. The platform combines IBM’s enterprise AI capabilities with Yotta’s sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure.

The central idea is control. Organisations can deploy AI agents at scale while keeping data, operations and governance controls within India. That puts sovereignty alongside the ability to build and manage AI agents as enterprises move beyond experimentation.

Sovereign AI India gets an agentic layer

The platform is built using IBM watsonx Orchestrate and deployed on Yotta’s Shakti Cloud. Watsonx Orchestrate acts as the agentic control plane, providing capabilities to secure, govern and manage AI agents as their use expands across an organisation.

Yotta’s Shakti Cloud provides the underlying compute, GPU infrastructure, networking, security and operational capabilities for enterprise AI workloads. This creates a combined stack rather than leaving organisations to assemble the infrastructure and AI management layers separately.

IBM and Yotta partnership connects models, compute and governance

The platform also brings in Shakti Studio, Yotta’s AI platform for model development and inference. Organisations can use it to explore, fine-tune, deploy and run both open-source and proprietary AI models.

That makes the Sovereign AI platform broader than an infrastructure offering. It brings models, inference, compute and agent management into the same environment, with governance and compliance positioned as part of the deployment model.

Enterprise AI agents move toward practical workflows

The platform is available through Yotta’s Panvel and Greater Noida cloud regions. Its intended use cases include security operations, document processing and HR automation.
