Lenovo appoints Kiran Balasubramanian to lead India communications

Lenovo has appointed Kiran Balasubramanian as Head of Communications for India, adding new leadership to its communications function as the company continues to build its presence across India’s technology ecosystem. His role will cover external and internal communications as well as analyst relations, linking Lenovo’s business priorities with how its technology strategy is communicated to key stakeholders.
Lenovo India brings technology and communications together
Balasubramanian brings experience across technology, consulting and public relations, having previously worked with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Accenture and Six Degrees PR HK. His background spans cloud and enterprise technology, consulting, business transformation and strategic communications.
That mix could be particularly relevant to Lenovo’s communications agenda, where complex technology developments need to be translated into clear narratives for media, analysts, employees and industry stakeholders. His mandate will include working with the India leadership team on communication strategies around business priorities, technology offerings, innovation and market developments.
Kiran Balasubramanian Lenovo role expands beyond PR
The appointment goes beyond traditional media relations. Balasubramanian will also oversee analyst relations and leadership communications, giving him a broader role in shaping how Lenovo India presents its technology direction and business priorities.
In sharing the appointment, Balasubramanian highlighted Lenovo’s Hybrid AI strategy, spanning personal AI and enterprise AI, as a key part of his communications focus. This places the role closer to business strategy, rather than treating communications as a separate corporate function.
A closer link between messaging and business
For Lenovo India, the appointment brings together technology knowledge, consulting exposure and communications experience. His responsibilities will include strengthening corporate communications, supporting leadership visibility and engaging media, analysts and other industry stakeholders.
The broader takeaway is that Lenovo’s communications function is being positioned to connect technology narratives more closely with business outcomes. With Balasubramanian leading the agenda, the focus will be on communicating Lenovo’s priorities, technology initiatives and Hybrid AI strategy while building stronger engagement across India’s technology ecosystem.
