Matrix and Yotta Partnership takes surveillance to cloud

The Matrix and Yotta partnership is bringing together Matrix Comsec's SATATYA IP Video Surveillance portfolio and Yotta Data Services' Drishticam AI-powered cloud-native Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS). The integration aims to help organisations shift from traditional on-premise surveillance towards a centralised, cloud-managed security setup.

As enterprises expand across multiple locations, managing separate surveillance systems can become difficult. The integrated platform combines Matrix's enterprise-grade IP cameras with Yotta's cloud-native Intelligent Video Management Platform (VMS), giving security teams centralised visibility, remote access, and AI-powered tools across distributed sites.

Yotta Data Services Adds Cloud-Native Video Management

The integration connects Matrix SATATYA IP Cameras with the Yotta Data Services Drishticam platform through ONVIF standards. This allows organisations to stream video securely to the cloud and manage geographically dispersed sites through a unified interface.

The platform brings together device management, AI-powered video analytics, encrypted cloud recording, real-time event monitoring, and secure remote access. The goal is to help security teams respond to incidents faster while reducing the complexity of managing surveillance infrastructure across multiple locations.

SATATYA IP Video Surveillance Gets Centralised Device Management

Matrix's SATATYA IP Video Surveillance portfolio gains a cloud-based management layer through the integration. Automatic discovery and onboarding of IP cameras using ONVIF standards are designed to simplify deployment, while centralised registration, health monitoring, lifecycle management, and configuration allow teams to manage devices across locations from one platform.

The setup also supports encrypted cloud recording, configurable retention policies, remote access to live and recorded footage, and real-time notifications through multiple communication channels.

AI-Powered Video Analytics Turns Footage Into Insights

The platform's AI-powered video analytics capabilities are aimed at moving surveillance beyond basic video recording. The system can support intrusion detection, human and vehicle classification, loitering and line-crossing detection, crowd density analysis, object left or removed detection, fire and smoke detection, PPE compliance, and Automatic Number Plate Recognition.

Its intelligent event management also links AI-generated events with live video, recordings, snapshots, and alerts. This can help security teams investigate incidents more quickly instead of relying only on manual review of recorded footage.
