Milestone XProtect SmartSuite Integration Adds Video Intelligence

Milestone Systems and IQSIGHT have announced the global release of SmartSuite, a consolidated plugin suite designed to integrate Intelligent Video Analytics directly into the Milestone XProtect video management software platform.

The integration allows security professionals to configure hardware, access analytics, and manage operations within a unified interface. According to the companies, SmartSuite reduces installation time for system integrators by up to 70 percent by replacing three separate plugins with a single suite.

The solution embeds analytics capabilities from IQSIGHT into XProtect, allowing organizations to access operational data, metadata insights, and security controls within a centralized environment.

Enhancing Visibility and Incident Investigation

The SmartSuite integration introduces several capabilities aimed at improving monitoring and investigation processes. These include the ability to surface metadata such as object classification, color-coded bounding boxes, trajectory lines, and gunshot direction indicators directly within the video management system.

The platform also supports forensic search and real-time visualization for analytics functions including appearance tracking and personal protective equipment detection. Integration with IVA Pro Visual Gun Detection enables the system to detect individuals brandishing firearms and trigger alerts, which can assist in rapid threat identification in environments such as educational institutions.

By combining metadata with video feeds, security teams can analyze events more quickly and gain deeper insights into incidents.

Reducing Deployment Complexity for Integrators

A key objective of the SmartSuite integration is to simplify deployment and configuration for system integrators. The unified plugin suite reduces the need to install multiple components and introduces automated setup features.

The suite includes panoramic de-warping and hardware control capabilities, including camera wipers and infrared illumination. It also incorporates Project Assistant import functionality, which can automatically configure camera names, network settings, groups, and image adjustments during installation.

These features are designed to accelerate commissioning processes and reduce manual configuration tasks.

Direct Camera Configuration Within the Platform

Another element of the SmartSuite integration allows system integrators to configure compatible cameras directly through the XProtect Management Client. This eliminates the need to access individual devices separately or move between different configuration environments.

The suite also introduces faster event subscription capabilities, enabling easier setup of analytics-driven alerts and automated notifications.

Collaboration Between Technology Partners

According to Sebastian Döllner, Vice President for Technology Partnerships and Open Platform at Milestone Systems, the integration aims to unify systems, insights, and operational actions in security environments. He stated that combining technologies from both organizations enables customers to improve incident response and strengthen overall security operations.

Sam Ward, Chief Commercial Officer for Global Sales at IQSIGHT, said the SmartSuite release enables organizations to access real-time insights within operational environments, supporting faster decision-making during critical situations.

SmartSuite is available globally at no cost and can be downloaded through IQSIGHT’s website. The companies are also demonstrating the solution at the ISC West industry event, where both organizations are presenting the integration and its analytics capabilities.
