Philips Unite LED 6000 Series Powers Smarter Government Meeting Spaces

Meeting rooms are evolving beyond simple presentation spaces. Today, they need to support hybrid collaboration, deliver crystal-clear visuals, and integrate seamlessly with modern conferencing tools. That shift is exactly what PPDS set out to address with its latest deployment of the Philips Unite LED 6000 Series at the Leer Municipal government offices in Germany.

The project is more than a display installation. It reflects how public-sector organisations are investing in technology that improves collaboration, workplace efficiency, and long-term sustainability.

A 135-Inch Display at the Centre of the Upgrade

Leer Municipal, the administrative hub for the town of Leer in Germany, wanted to modernise its main meeting room as part of a broader workplace transformation. Working with local integration partner LS IT & Media, the goal was to create a space that could better support presentations, council discussions, and hybrid meetings.

After evaluating multiple options, the Philips 135 inch All in One display from the PPDS Philips LED wall portfolio was selected. Designed for quick installation, the display combines Full HD resolution, 900 cd/m² brightness, and a fine 1.5mm pixel pitch to deliver sharp images, even in brightly lit meeting rooms. This makes detailed content, including spreadsheets and presentations, easy to view from anywhere in the room.

Built for Collaboration and Sustainability

The Philips Unite LED 6000 Series also focuses on flexibility. An integrated media player, support for HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C, audio connectivity, and a bundled wall-mounting system allow it to fit easily into existing meeting room environments.

Energy efficiency was another deciding factor. The display consumes less power than comparable models and requires just 0.5 watts in ultra-low standby mode. For organisations looking to reduce operational costs while supporting sustainability goals, this makes it a practical choice for long-term deployment.

Beyond the Display

The installation extends beyond the LED wall itself. The meeting room also includes an AVer PTZ camera, two Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling Medium microphones, a conferencing PC, and Dante audio technology to create a complete hybrid collaboration environment.

Together, these components improve meeting visibility, voice capture, and video conferencing while enabling recording and AI-powered transcription through tools such as tucan.ai. The modular AV design also gives the municipality flexibility to expand the system as future requirements evolve.
