FAIITA Plans Online EStore for Its Member Channel Community

In a circular issued by FAIITA (Federation of All India IT Associations) has disclosed its plans to help the offline sellers of IT hardware products to go online and open online E-stores. This is because in a situation of lockdown,  the clients are not able to go to the physical shops and buy IT hardware. Besides, shops in markets are ordered to be closed for the period of lockdown. Most of the IT shops are located in the marketplaces. This is causing a lot of economic loss to the IT channel community. DQ Channels has earlier published  request letters sent by the various channel bodies asking the government to help their condition by allowing them to open shops. However, opening shops at this junctures poses the danger of reversing the control of the spread of the Corona Virus. Hence, FAIITA has devised the solution to help  its members open online E-stores. The recent step of the government, giving permission for e-commerce sellers to sell essential products was a shock to all the local dealers of the country. Anyways, with the efforts FAIITA as well as other associations in the country the decision was rolled back. Looking to this and more important the factor of strict “SOCIAL DISTANCING” norms by the government present and post lockdown, FAIITA is trying to take an immediate bold step further to create individual e-commerce websites so that customers can get door delivery. Still, there is a lot of fear among the customers to visit the retail stores in spite of Governments decision to open in certain areas depending upon the zones. In future the owners of a retail store have to get prepared with parallel expertise to sell on their own e-commerce platform, thereby competing with the sellers on Amazon and Flipkart.
