DXC appoints Arun Melkote to lead global delivery
DXC Technology has appointed Arun Melkote as Global Head of Delivery for Consulting & Engineering Services (CES), placing him at the centre of the company’s global delivery strategy. The move also comes with wider leadership changes across CES, with India playing a key role in the organisation’s delivery and growth plans.
Melkote will report to Ramnath Venkataraman, President of CES, and oversee the global CES delivery organisation. His responsibilities span Global Capability Center offerings and the Custom Applications service line, while also covering delivery quality, operations and customer outcomes.
AI moves closer to delivery
The appointment comes as DXC puts more weight on moving AI projects beyond experimentation and into enterprise execution. Melkote will drive AI-native software engineering and application modernisation while working with DXC’s partner, innovation and AI teams, including LabX.
That focus points to a practical shift in how enterprise technology programmes are being approached. The emphasis is not simply on AI capabilities, but on connecting them with engineering, modernisation and global delivery at scale.
India gets a bigger leadership role
As DXC’s most senior executive in India, Melkote will also represent the company with customers, partners, industry stakeholders and employees in the market. His role is therefore broader than global delivery, linking DXC’s India presence with its wider CES growth and innovation agenda.
Melkote brings nearly three decades of technology and business leadership experience. Before joining DXC, he was CEO of Quinnox and held senior roles at Wipro, where he built global delivery organisations and worked on digital transformation and customer growth.
CES leadership expands alongside Melkote
DXC is also elevating Kartik Iyer, formerly CVC Director of Operations and Global CES Resource Management, to lead Customer Value Centres, Workforce Transformation and Strategic Programs for CES.
Iyer’s remit will focus on workforce agility, capability development and scaling talent to meet global demand. Together, the leadership changes suggest DXC is aligning delivery, workforce and engineering capabilities more closely as it looks to execute larger transformation programmes.

For DXC, the leadership changes place Engineering Services leadership closer to AI, modernisation and workforce strategy. Melkote’s dual focus on global delivery and India also gives the company a direct link between its international delivery organisation and the engineering capabilities it is building across India.
