Lumina Datamatics TNQTech acquisition reaches final milestone

The Lumina Datamatics TNQTech acquisition has reached its final stage, with Lumina Datamatics completing the 100 percent acquisition of TNQTech. Following its earlier purchase of an 80% stake in December 2024, the company has now acquired the remaining 20%, making TNQTech a wholly owned subsidiary.
The move strengthens Lumina Datamatics' position as a global scholarly publishing partner, bringing together the scale of both organisations to serve publishers worldwide.

The completed acquisition combines Lumina Datamatics' global customer base, technology expertise and operational scale with TNQTech's strengths in scholarly publishing technology and AI-driven solutions.
According to the company, the integration is expected to accelerate innovation, improve operational efficiency and deliver faster, higher-quality publishing services for customers across global markets.
Publishing Tech expands with AI-enabled publishing technology
The combined organisation will support publishers across the complete content lifecycle, including manuscript submission, peer review, editorial workflows, production, digital publishing, accessibility, analytics and AI-enabled publishing technology.
Lumina Datamatics noted that customers will gain access to a broader portfolio of publishing platforms, automation capabilities and domain expertise designed to improve publishing operations.

According to Sameer Kanodia, Vice Chairman and CEO of Lumina Datamatics and TNQTech, the acquisition marks a significant milestone in the company's growth strategy. He noted that bringing together domain expertise with next-generation AI technologies is expected to support product innovation, global expansion and greater value for publishers.
