Tenable Open-source AI agent powers new CyberAgents Exchange

Security teams are increasingly adopting AI to automate operations, but many still build AI tools independently. To address this challenge, Tenable has launched CyberAgents Exchange, introducing the Tenable Open-source AI agent initiative as a free, cybersecurity-focused platform for sharing AI agents, skills, MCP servers and multi-agent playbooks.

Unlike general-purpose AI marketplaces or vendor-specific exchanges, CyberAgents Exchange is designed exclusively for cybersecurity, giving practitioners a common place to collaborate while reducing duplicated development efforts.

CyberAgents Exchange strengthens Open-Source AI collaboration

Built as a transparent and community-driven platform, the exchange allows organisations to see who created each AI component, when it was developed and whether it has community backing. According to Tenable, this helps security teams adopt trusted AI components while giving contributors a way to showcase peer-reviewed expertise.

SentinelOne and Recorded Future have joined as founding members, contributing AI agents, integration frameworks and threat intelligence to help expand the ecosystem.

Agentic AI security tools arrive with five launch components

The launch includes more than 50 open-source AI components, with five highlighted tools demonstrating the platform's capabilities. Navi is a command-line AI agent that uses the Tenable One Vulnerability Management APIs to automate vulnerability management and cyber exposure workflows.

Another featured component is the SentinelOne Purple AI MCP Server, which enables users to access SentinelOne services through any MCP client. Meanwhile, Recorded Future MITRE APT Attack Path Analysis combines an organisation's Recorded Future threat map with MITRE ATT&CK techniques and live Tenable findings to identify actively exploitable attack paths.

The exchange also includes SOC-Hunter, a threat-hunting skill used daily by Tenable's internal security operations team. It supports proactive, hypothesis-driven threat hunting across SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, CSPM, CASB and code search platforms. Completing the initial lineup is The Hounds Pack, a skill-packaged playbook featuring 18 exposure management specialists designed to hunt, tag and calibrate security risks.

Open-source AI agent exchange expands community efforts

To encourage wider participation, Tenable is hosting SWARM: The Cybersecurity Agentic AI Build Event during Black Hat USA 2026. Sponsored by AWS and supported by Anthropic, the multi-day event invites security professionals to build open-source AI agents, skills and MCP servers. Winners will be announced on August 6, 2026.
