SailPoint launches unified identity security for AI era

As AI agents become part of everyday enterprise operations, managing digital identities is becoming more complex. SailPoint unified identity security brings together human and machine identities into a single platform, aiming to help organizations discover, govern, and protect every identity in real time.

The solution combines the newly available Agentic Fabric with Human Fabric, the next evolution of SailPoint's Identity Security Cloud. Built on SailPoint Atlas, the platform is designed to reduce manual security work while improving visibility across modern enterprise environments.

AI agent identity security takes center stage

According to SailPoint's research, 97% of AI agents have access to sensitive data, while only 21% of organizations are highly confident in managing AI agent security risks.

The company says its platform moves beyond traditional compliance checks by creating a continuous security loop that discovers identities, governs access, and responds to risks in real time.

Human and machine identity security on one platform

The new solution combines SailPoint human AI machine identity security into a single framework.

Human Fabric introduces continuous identity governance by automatically detecting privilege creep, supporting Just-In-Time Provisioning (JIT-P), and providing real-time identity context for security teams. SailPoint says this approach helps organizations move closer to Zero Standing Privilege (ZSP).

Machine identity governance for the AI era

SailPoint has also made Agentic Fabric generally available as a standalone product and as part of its unified platform.

The platform strengthens machine identity governance by discovering hidden AI agents, credentials, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers through endpoint and browser sensors. It also includes features such as prompt security that redacts sensitive information before it reaches large language models, a centralized kill switch for rogue AI agents, and automated ownership controls for machine accounts.

According to SailPoint, the solution is supported by integration partners to help organizations adopt AI securely while maintaining governance and compliance.
