NTT DATA and Google Cloud Gemini enterprise push targets scale

Many enterprises have experimented with AI. Far fewer have managed to scale it across the business. That gap is now at the center of an expanded collaboration between NTT DATA and Google Cloud Gemini Enterprise, focused on helping organizations move from isolated AI projects to large-scale deployment of agentic AI solutions.

The partnership combines Google Cloud’s AI, cloud, and data capabilities with NTT DATA’s global delivery network and industry expertise. The goal is straightforward: help enterprises embed AI into core business workflows while maintaining governance, security, compliance, and measurable business outcomes.

Moving Beyond AI Experiments

A recurring challenge for enterprises is not access to AI technology but the ability to operationalize it. Many organizations struggle with governance, workforce readiness, rollout planning, and linking AI initiatives to business value.

To address this, NTT DATA is establishing a dedicated global Gemini Enterprise practice supported by training, certifications, engineering resources, and joint business planning. The company plans to certify 5,000 Gemini Enterprise experts globally, creating a large pool of skilled professionals capable of supporting enterprise AI adoption.

This move signals a shift from experimentation toward repeatable deployment models that can scale across industries and geographies.

Building Hundreds of AI Agents

A key element of the collaboration is a roadmap to co-develop up to 500 AI agents for both horizontal and industry-specific use cases.

The initiative spans sectors such as banking, insurance, manufacturing, and retail while also targeting functions like software development, cloud migration, marketing, procurement, and finance operations.

Supporting this effort will be integrated teams of NTT DATA specialists, Google Cloud engineers, forward-deployed engineers, and industry experts working directly with customers. The focus is on accelerating development cycles, reducing deployment risks, and shortening time-to-value.

Tackling the Cloud and AI Investment Gap

The announcement also highlights a growing enterprise concern. According to an NTT DATA client survey, 99% of enterprises report that AI is increasing demand for cloud investments. At the same time, 88% say current cloud investment levels are putting AI, modernization, and cloud-native initiatives at risk.

The expanded collaboration seeks to bridge that gap by aligning AI ambitions with scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment frameworks.

A New Model for Enterprise AI Adoption

The broader significance of this partnership lies in its emphasis on execution. Alongside NTT DATA certified Gemini Enterprise experts, the program introduces industrialized development models, reusable AI assets, industry-specific accelerators, and support for sovereign and compliant AI deployments.

For enterprises evaluating NTT DATA agentic AI deployment strategies, the collaboration offers a structured path toward scaling AI while addressing governance and operational challenges.

As organisations continue to navigate cloud investment risks in enterprise AI scaling, the partnership reflects a growing industry focus on turning AI from a promising technology into a practical business capability.

What This Means for Enterprises

The message from NTT DATA and Google Cloud is clear: the next phase of AI is not about proving the technology works. It is about deploying it at scale, embedding it into daily operations, and creating repeatable business value.
