Oracle Fusion Agentic Applications Bring AI-Driven Execution to Supply Chains

Supply chain teams are being asked to do more with less while navigating disruptions, cost pressures, and changing demand patterns. Oracle’s latest update to Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM reflects how AI is moving beyond recommendations and into execution.

With the launch of four new Oracle Fusion agentic applications and enhanced inventory optimisation capabilities, Oracle is aiming to help organisations improve visibility, reduce operational risks, and make faster decisions across planning, procurement, and manufacturing.

AI Moves From Assistant to Operator

The biggest shift in Oracle’s announcement is the move from AI-assisted workflows to AI-powered execution. Built into Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM), the new applications use coordinated teams of specialised AI agents designed to proactively identify issues, reason through options, and execute routine tasks within established business guardrails.

Rather than simply surfacing information, these agents can advance work autonomously while escalating exceptions and decisions that require human judgment.

Four New Workspaces Target Key Supply Chain Challenges

The new Oracle Fusion agentic applications focus on common operational bottlenecks. The Inventory Planning Command Centre helps teams improve inventory availability and respond to stockouts more quickly through automated workflows.

The Supplier Qualification Workspace supports procurement teams by streamlining supplier onboarding, improving compliance, and reducing supplier risk. For manufacturers, the Production Readiness Workspace helps reduce setup errors and improve readiness through proactive actions and issue identification. Meanwhile, the Kanban Administrative Workspace is designed to improve replenishment processes, reduce shortages and excess inventory, and maintain smoother production flow.

Inventory Optimisation Gets Smarter

Alongside the new applications, Oracle is introducing advanced inventory optimisation capabilities within Oracle Cloud SCM. New multi-echelon inventory optimisation functions help organisations determine recommended safety stock levels across complex supply chain networks. Interactive visualisation tools provide planners with a clearer view of inventory relationships, service levels, and supply chain dependencies.

Oracle has also introduced an Inventory Optimisation Advisor Agent that can identify inventory risks, analyse dependencies, and recommend stock adjustments to improve service levels.
