
The deployment in Andhra Pradesh marks one of the largest state-wide video intelligence implementations in the country. As Videonetics powers Andhra Pradesh through its AI-driven Unified Video Management Platform, the focus goes beyond surveillance and moves toward creating a connected governance ecosystem. Spanning all 28 districts, the deployment brings together video monitoring, traffic management, analytics, face recognition, and enforcement systems into a single operational framework designed to support faster and more informed decision-making.
At the centre of this transformation is a network of nearly 15,000 IP cameras connected through the state’s CCTV360 infrastructure. The platform combines multiple technologies into one architecture, allowing continuous monitoring and real-time information sharing across districts. This integrated approach reflects a growing shift toward centralised intelligence systems that can support public safety and operational efficiency at scale.
From Monitoring to Real-Time Action
A major strength of the deployment lies in its ability to automate tasks that traditionally required extensive manual effort. More than 680 key traffic intersections are now covered by an advanced traffic management system capable of detecting signal violations, over-speeding incidents, and blacklisted vehicles. By automating enforcement activities, the platform helps improve consistency while reducing dependence on manual monitoring.
The face recognition component, deployed across nearly 1,000 locations, adds another layer of operational capability. Integrated with approved national databases and existing state systems, it enables authorised agencies to identify persons of interest while supporting investigations and intelligence-sharing efforts across districts.
Building a Statewide Command and Control Framework
According to Videonetics, the project demonstrates how AI-powered video intelligence can support safer and more responsive governance. The centralised Command and Control Centre in Amaravati serves as the operational backbone, bringing together camera feeds, analytics engines, criminal records, and traffic enforcement systems into a unified environment.
Officials from Andhra Pradesh Police highlighted tangible outcomes already emerging from the platform, including the recovery of missing children, tracing stolen vehicles, identifying repeat offenders, and improving coordination between districts. The ability to generate automated alerts for suspicious vehicles or wanted individuals has also helped reduce response times and strengthen field operations.
