The company has now introduced CrowdStrike Continuous Identity for AI Agents, a new capability within the Falcon Next-Gen Identity Security portfolio aimed at securing AI-driven environments through continuous, real-time authorization.

The announcement highlights a broader shift taking place across enterprise security. Legacy identity models rely on one-time authentication and static permissions. According to CrowdStrike, that approach becomes increasingly risky when AI agents operate independently and make decisions without constant human oversight. CrowdStrike assigns AI agents cryptographically verifiable identities based on the SPIFFE standard, helping replace static credentials with automated workload identities. The company has also integrated its Falcon AI Detection and Response capabilities into the framework. By continuously inspecting prompts and intent, the platform can identify potential misuse of permissions or attempts to push large language models beyond their approved scope. If elevated risk is detected, access can be revoked immediately, helping organizations enforce a zero-standing-privilege model.
