India's cybersecurity landscape is becoming more expensive and more complex. The IBM Security report for India shows that the average organisational cost of a data breach reached a record INR 255 million (INR 25.5 crore) in 2026, marking a 15.9% increase over the previous year. At the same time, AI-generated cyberattacks are becoming more common, forcing organisations to rethink how they protect their digital assets.

According to the IBM Cost of a Data Breach Report 2026, artificial intelligence is changing both sides of cybersecurity. While attackers are using AI to launch faster and more sophisticated attacks, businesses investing in AI-powered security automation are reporting lower breach costs and quicker incident response.
