Infina Finance appoints Ajay Gupta as CTO for digital growth

Infina Finance appoints Ajay Gupta as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President, adding more than 19 years of experience across banking, financial services and digital lending to its technology leadership. Effective September 1, 2026, Gupta will oversee the company’s technology strategy, engineering capabilities and digital transformation agenda.

His mandate covers a wide technology base, including enterprise architecture, cloud transformation, data and AI, cybersecurity, DevSecOps and digital platforms. The appointment comes as Infina Finance looks to strengthen the technology capabilities supporting business growth and customer experiences.

Digital lending sits at the centre

Gupta brings specific experience in building and transforming lending ecosystems. His work has covered digital onboarding, loan origination, loan management, collections, customer journeys, regulatory integrations and operational automation.

That background could make digital lending a key part of his technology priorities at Infina Finance. His new role also includes platform modernisation and regulatory technology, suggesting a technology agenda that connects customer-facing systems with the underlying architecture needed to support them.

The focus is not limited to deploying new technology. Gupta’s mandate includes building engineering capabilities and aligning technology investments with business and customer outcomes.

A broader technology leadership role

Before joining Infina Finance, Gupta served as Vice President and Principal Manager for Software Engineering at Kotak Mahindra Bank. His earlier technology roles included LTI, Capgemini, Saraswat Infotech, Beehive Software Services, Tech Mahindra, R Systems and Pragati Software.

His experience spans technology strategy, solution architecture, product development, programme delivery, cloud technologies, data and AI, cybersecurity, Agile methodology and vendor management. That breadth fits the wide scope of his new CTO role.
