FITAG Strengthens Leadership Team & Expands Network to 48 IT Associations

The Federation of Information Technology Associations of Gujarat (FITAG) has officially concluded its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026 in Ahmedabad. The high-profile gathering brought together Presidents, office bearers, and official representatives from Information Technology associations spanning the entirety of Gujarat. The meeting served as a major strategic milestone, reinforcing the Federation’s overarching mission to build a unified voice for the region’s expanding IT and allied service sectors.
During the proceedings of the AGM, essential additions and structural updates were executed to reinforce FITAG’s operational leadership and streamline internal coordination across its rapidly growing network. Central to these proceedings was the confirmation that Alpesh Gevariya will continue his stewardship as the President of FITAG as part of his ongoing two-year tenure. Entering the second year of his term, Gevariya will continue guiding the organisation alongside a combined team of seasoned leaders and newly appointed office bearers.
Expanding Strategic Footprint Across Gujarat
Under the continuous direction of President Alpesh Gevariya, FITAG has experienced substantial organisational development and regional expansion over the past year. With the formal induction of new member associations during this period, the broader FITAG community has expanded to include 48 distinct IT Associations throughout Gujarat. This geographic and institutional expansion underscores the growing level of trust, unity, and collective bargaining strength that the Federation offers to the technology ecosystem in Western India.
This broadened network positions FITAG as an increasingly comprehensive platform for regional IT representation. By bringing 48 independent bodies into a single collaborative framework, the organisation is uniquely situated to cultivate larger avenues for cross-association knowledge sharing, strategic industry alignment, and structured economic development across member regions.
Balanced Governance: Experience Meets Fresh Perspectives
The updated governance team unites veteran industry office bearers with newly integrated leaders, establishing a balanced blend of historical continuity, industry experience, and fresh perspectives. This modernised structural framework is designed to help the leadership address shared commercial challenges, push for industry-friendly policy frameworks, and encourage professional upskilling across member organisations.
