Redington makes a new move to strengthen data security and AI governance

Redington has announced a strategic partnership with AvePoint to expand access to its data protection, governance and resilience solutions across India. The collaboration will use Redington’s channel network and enterprise technology capabilities to help partners address the growing need for secure, resilient and AI-ready data environments.

As enterprises adopt Cloud collaboration platforms, distributed data environments and AI-enabled workflows, data governance and security are becoming an important part of digital transformation. AvePoint’s Confidence Platform brings together data security, governance and resilience across platforms such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Salesforce.

Partnership expands opportunities for channel partners

The partnership will add AvePoint’s capabilities in data protection, backup and recovery, governance, compliance, migration and SaaS management to Redington’s portfolio for channel partners and customers.

Sridhar S, President, SSG, Redington said, “Beyond being a business asset, data is the very foundation on which organisations are building their digital, Cloud and AI ambitions. As enterprises move towards increasingly distributed and collaborative technology environments, the conversation must evolve beyond data availability to include governance, security, recoverability and responsible use.”

He added that the partnership combines AvePoint’s expertise in data resilience and governance with Redington’s market reach and partner enablement capabilities to support more secure, compliant and AI-ready digital environments.

Angela Choo, VP, Channel, APAC, AvePoint said, “This agreement expands our ability to help partners meet the growing demand for secure, governed and resilient data environments in the age of AI.”

She added that Redington’s reach and channel network can help more partners adopt data protection and governance practices as customers move towards AI-enabled operations.

Redington will support the go-to-market expansion of AvePoint’s portfolio through its network of channel partners, system integrators and managed service providers. The collaboration will also allow partners to develop offerings around data resilience, secure collaboration, compliance and AI governance.

For channel partners, the partnership is aimed at creating opportunities beyond traditional infrastructure and backup services. It could help them build higher-value offerings around data governance, cyber resilience and AI readiness for enterprise customers.
