Sarvesh Kumar BPE appointment as principal technical officer signals towards bigger plans

Best Power Equipment (BPE) has announced the appointment of Sarvesh Kumar as its new Principal Technical Officer, bringing more than three decades of experience in UPS manufacturing, engineering, project execution, and customer service leadership. The move comes as BPE continues to expand its presence across India and international markets while strengthening its position in mission-critical power infrastructure.

The appointment reflects a growing need for deep technical expertise in industries where reliability, performance, and operational continuity have become critical business requirements. With experience spanning UPS systems ranging from 10KVA to 6400KVA, Kumar brings knowledge across manufacturing operations, technical training, quality improvement, and after-sales service management.

Experience built around complex power systems

Before joining BPE, Kumar spent 24 years as CTO at Riello Power India. During that period, he led the design and development of MIL Grade 461E/F and JSS55555-compliant UPS systems for defence applications. His responsibilities also included executing major defence projects such as the 3D TCR Project and the 10kVA MIL Grade UPS project with BEL DCCS.

His background extends beyond product development. Over the years, he has worked on customised UPS solutions, managed profit centre operations, conducted root cause analysis of field failures, and contributed to continuous improvements in production quality. This combination of technical and operational experience could prove valuable as BPE scales its capabilities in high-capacity UPS manufacturing and specialised power solutions.

Aligning expertise with future expansion

Commenting on his appointment, Kumar highlighted BPE’s growing footprint across Southeast Asia, ASEAN, the Middle East, and Africa. He said his focus would be on improving technical operations, strengthening customer service, and driving innovation in customised UPS solutions.

BPE’s leadership believes the appointment supports its long-term ambitions in mission-critical segments. According to Amitansu Satpathy, Promoter and Group Managing Director of BPE, Kumar’s experience in developing advanced UPS systems and managing large-scale technical operations will play an important role in the company’s next phase of growth.

What this move indicates

The appointment of Sarvesh Kumar points to a broader emphasis on technical depth as BPE expands its presence in critical infrastructure markets. As organisations demand greater reliability from power systems supporting data centres, industrial facilities, and other sensitive environments, experienced leadership is becoming an increasingly important differentiator.
