Tenable One exposure management platform rethink cyber risk

As software development accelerates, security teams face a growing challenge: understanding which vulnerabilities actually matter. The expansion of the Tenable One Exposure Management Platform reflects this shift by bringing application security into a broader exposure management strategy, helping organisations prioritise risks instead of simply collecting alerts.

The latest update unifies application security data with exposure insights across cloud, endpoint, identity and operational technology environments, giving security teams a single view of enterprise risk.

How continuous exposure management brings security into one view

The expansion strengthens Continuous exposure management by bringing together application security findings with existing exposure data. Rather than treating code vulnerabilities as isolated issues, the platform connects them with runtime systems, cloud workloads, identities and attack paths that could be affected.

Tenable says the platform ingests and normalises data from application development and security tools, including AI application security platforms, alongside existing security telemetry and business context. This approach is intended to help organisations identify which vulnerabilities pose genuine operational risk and require immediate attention.

Tenable AppSec integration puts code risks into context

A key aspect of the update is Tenable AppSec integration, which gives security teams visibility from code creation through to production environments. By linking static code vulnerability data with runtime exposure, the platform aims to reduce the disconnect between development and security teams.

According to the company, this becomes increasingly important as generative AI enables developers to produce software much faster while also increasing the possibility of introducing vulnerabilities into production environments.

Eric Doerr, Chief Product Officer, Tenable, said the platform provides the context security teams have been missing by allowing them to view application security risks alongside other forms of enterprise exposure and prioritise remediation more effectively.
