Veeam and Everpure strategic alliance deepens focus on data resilience

The Veeam and Everpure strategic alliance is entering a new phase as both companies deepen collaboration around cyber resilience, data protection and AI-driven operations. Announced at Pure//Accelerate, the expanded partnership reflects how organisations are rethinking resilience in response to increasingly complex digital threats.

The focus is no longer limited to recovering data after an incident. Instead, enterprises are looking for ways to ensure that recovered data remains trusted, compliant and ready for use in environments shaped by ransomware, autonomous AI systems and machine-speed attacks.

Moving from recovery to resilience

A key theme behind the expanded alliance is what the companies describe as DataAI Resilience, bringing together data protection, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence into a more unified framework.

According to Veeam, modern organisations face threats that move faster than traditional IT teams can manage manually. The latest developments aim to address that challenge through integrated workflows, earlier threat detection and more precise recovery processes.

The collaboration spans Everpure's Enterprise Data Cloud (EDC), Kubernetes environments and managed cyber resilience services, creating a broader platform approach rather than isolated product integrations.

A stronger focus on enterprise-scale operations

One of the most significant announcements is the upcoming Enterprise Data Cloud EDC fleet management integration, planned for Veeam Data Platform v13.1.

The new integration is designed to move beyond individual system management by enabling fleet-level visibility and control. Organisations will be able to register an Everpure fleet once, automate infrastructure discovery and improve protection coverage as environments scale.

The initiative also aims to reduce operational complexity by providing consolidated visibility across storage resources and associated infrastructure.

Expanding Kubernetes protection

The partnership is also extending into cloud-native environments through the planned integration of Portworx by Everpure and Kasten by Veeam.

Expected in Q3 2026, the integration will focus on policy-driven protection, application-consistent operations and simplified disaster recovery for Kubernetes workloads. The move highlights the growing importance of containerised environments within enterprise IT strategies.

Cyber resilience as a managed service

Beyond technology integration, the alliance is expanding Cyber Resilience Delivered as-a-Service through approved Managed Service Providers and Global Systems Integrators.

The model is designed to provide a cloud-like experience while allowing organisations to retain on-premises control of data. This approach addresses operational challenges around compliance, governance and data sovereignty while reducing management overhead.

What the expansion signals

The Veeam and Everpure strategic alliance reflects a broader industry movement towards integrated resilience platforms that combine protection, security and operational automation. The recent Pure1 integration with the Veeam Incident API further demonstrates this direction by enabling anomaly-driven workflows that support faster investigation and recovery.
