BITA 12th AGM marks leadership transition and channel ecosystem momentum

The 12th Annual General Meeting of the Bihar IT Association concluded successfully on 6 April 2026 at Ambition Sresth Mall, Patna, bringing together members of the regional IT channel ecosystem to reflect on achievements and outline priorities for the upcoming term. The event highlighted the growing relevance of regional IT associations in strengthening the national partner ecosystem and supporting technology-led business expansion.

The presence of Navin Gupta, President, FAIITA, added strategic significance to the gathering, reinforcing the alignment between regional IT associations and national industry objectives. His participation underscored the importance of collaboration across the IT channel community to accelerate digital adoption and strengthen industry representation.

Leadership transition sets direction for 2026-2028 term

A key moment during the AGM was the formal leadership transition from Rajiv Agrawal, Outgoing President, to Shailesh Kumar, Incoming President. The ceremony reflected continuity in leadership vision while emphasising renewed focus on strengthening the association’s role in enabling growth opportunities for IT partners, retailers, distributors and solution providers across Bihar.

The newly announced leadership team for the 2026-2028 term includes Shailesh Kumar as President, Rajiv Agrawal as Immediate Past President, Ravi Bhushan and Ajit Lakhmani as Vice Presidents, Pramod Agrawal as Secretary, Shobhit Gupta as Treasurer and Navin Gupta as Mentor. The executive committee includes Mahesh Agarwal, Narayan Hisariya, Pradeep Agarwal, Ravi Tiwari, Amod Kumar, Kumar Muralidhar, Abhishek Bidasaria, Praveen Jaiswal and Uttam Mullick.

Role of regional IT associations in channel ecosystem expansion

Regional IT associations continue to play an important role in strengthening the channel partner ecosystem by enabling collaboration between vendors, distributors and solution providers. Such industry forums create opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange and policy advocacy that support business growth and digital transformation initiatives across emerging markets.

Navin Gupta, President, FAIITA, congratulated the President and the new team member on behalf of FAIITA and hoped that the new team would work hard with FAIITA and requested the Bihar IT Association to organise an IT Expo in the state.
