Hitachi BuilMirai experience centre opens doors to smarter buildings

Hitachi and GlobalLogic have launched the Hitachi BuilMirai Experience Center at GlobalLogic’s India headquarters in Noida, creating a new hub for demonstrating and developing digital solutions for intelligent buildings.

The centre is built around BuilMirai, a digital service powered by HMAX for Buildings. The solution brings together data from digitalised assets, Hitachi’s building expertise and AI technologies. The goal is simple: help organisations gain better visibility into their buildings while improving energy efficiency, sustainability, operational performance and occupant wellbeing.

For India, the move comes as urban growth and economic activity increase demand for smarter and more energy-efficient commercial facilities, offices and infrastructure. The Noida hub is expected to play a role in Hitachi’s wider building solutions strategy, with India positioned as a strategic market.

A closer look at the One Hitachi smart building platform

The centre also reflects the One Hitachi approach, bringing together different capabilities across the organisation to develop connected building technologies.

The focus is not limited to one part of a building. BuilMirai aims to bring data and operations together through a unified platform, covering areas such as energy use, infrastructure performance, safety and occupant experience.

The initiative also highlights the growing role of smart building digital twin capabilities and the use of data to support better decision-making. By combining IT, operational technology and physical products, Hitachi is looking to create a more connected view of the built environment.

GlobalLogic Noida launch combines digital engineering and building systems

The partnership brings together two distinct strengths. GlobalLogic is responsible for the digital engineering of BuilMirai, while Hitachi Lift India contributes local operational and service capabilities, including elevator systems.

The BuilMirai Experience Centre will also serve as a collaboration space for engineering teams, customers, partners and other industry stakeholders. Insights gathered through these interactions are expected to help refine the service and support its wider global deployment.

For customers, the key takeaway is the shift toward building systems that are not just connected, but also capable of turning operational data into useful insights.
