“We provide unified network attached storage solutions for mid-market organisations that prefer hybrid models where some data is stored on cloud, and some remains on-premise,” he explained.

The company is also working on multi-node storage systems designed to ensure continuity of data access even if one system becomes unavailable.

“A multi-node architecture allows applications to continue functioning even if one storage node goes down,” Chaurasia noted.

AI adoption is contributing to rapid growth in enterprise data volumes, particularly as organisations generate large amounts of digital content and datasets for analytics and modelling.

“AI adoption is creating large volumes of data and organisations are increasingly looking at hybrid infrastructure strategies to manage this data efficiently,” Chaurasia said.

“We help optimise storage environments so that organisations can reduce bottlenecks when building models or managing large datasets,” he explained.

“We not only help store data but also provide backup services on the cloud to ensure continuity and reliability,” Chaurasia added.

According to Chaurasia, cloud adoption accelerated significantly in the years following the pandemic, but organisations are increasingly evaluating cost, control, and security considerations when designing long-term infrastructure strategies.

“Cloud adoption grew rapidly due to scalability and ease of use, but organisations are now also considering aspects such as cost, data ownership and security,” he said.

Growing awareness around data sovereignty and regulatory compliance is influencing organisations to adopt hybrid storage architectures that provide greater control over enterprise data.

“Data ownership and data control are becoming important considerations, especially with evolving regulatory requirements,” Chaurasia noted.

This shift is creating opportunities for specialised infrastructure providers focused on designing balanced storage architectures that combine flexibility with reliability.

Mid-market segment emerging as key opportunity for data storage providers

The mid-market segment represents a significant opportunity for infrastructure providers, as many medium-sized organisations require scalable storage solutions but may lack specialised technical expertise.

“Mid-market organisations often require structured data infrastructure strategies but may not always have access to specialised storage expertise,” Chaurasia said.

Dataneers focuses on simplifying deployment complexity through a plug-and-use storage architecture designed to reduce the need for extensive technical skill development within customer organisations.

“We design solutions that simplify deployment so that customers do not need extensive specialised skills to manage storage environments,” he explained.

The company is also working with cloud providers to deliver integrated solutions across storage and collaboration platforms.

“We are associated with cloud providers and offer solutions that integrate storage with cloud-based services,” he added.

Channel ecosystem opportunities in data protection and infrastructure consulting

As data volumes continue to increase, channel partners and system integrators are expected to play a larger role in providing specialised advisory and implementation support in areas such as AI infrastructure and hybrid cloud architecture.

According to Chaurasia, partners that build technical expertise in niche infrastructure areas can create differentiated value for customers.

“Channel partners need to strengthen technical capabilities so they can deliver niche solutions aligned with customer requirements,” he said.

“Our goal over the next five years is to build a strong presence in the mid-market data storage segment through consistent innovation and engineering focus,” he said.
